New Community Information Service opens at South Christchurch Library

Info Tap South

Info Tap South is a new pilot community information service in South Christchurch operating weekly from South Christchurch Library, Colombo Street. Aimed at providing people with better and easier access to information within their local community it is a collaboration between the Christchurch City Council, Age Concern, Citizens Advice Bureau and Community Law Canterbury.

Info Tap South will allow people to speak face-to-face with three key agencies Citizens Advice Bureau, Age Concern and Community Law Canterbury through a rostered monthly service at South Christchurch Library. From 10am to 1pm, every Thursday, one of the agencies will be on site, providing a walk-in service. No appointments will be necessary. Citizens Advice Bureau will be on site the first and third Thursday of the month, Age Concern the second Thursday and Community Law Canterbury the fourth Thursday.

Info Tap South is a community initiative, supported by the Spreydon/Heathcote Community Board and will operate for six months after which it will be evaluated for future potential development.

Info Tap South will be open for service from Thursday, 3 May 2007. Citizens Advice Bureau will be on site from 10am to 1pm.
