Get in the reading habit and you will be ready for the Reading Crusade - coming your way in Term One 2009.

How it works

  2. Download a reading log to fill in
  3. Read 6 books over summer and enter the details on your log
  4. To enter just drop your completed reading log into one of our libraries or post to

Conditions

  • You must be 12 years of age or younger to enter.
  • Entries don't open until 18 December 2008.
  • Entries close at 5pm on Friday 23 January 2009.
  • Winners will be notified.
  • Christchurch City Libraries reserve the right to use the name and residential suburb of the winners for promotional purposes.

Summertime Reading Club Celebration

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading Club with fun at the Central Library. In the morning Tessarose will entertain you with lots of music, movement and dancing. Suitable for children aged 3 to 7 years.

In the afternoon there will be fun and gloriously gruesome tales with hugely popular storyteller Liz Weir. Suitable for children up to 10 years. Families warmly invited.

There are no charges for these events, so just bring a sense of fun.
