Gavin Bishop

Gavin Bishop is an award winning Children’s author and illustrator.
In 2000 he received the Margaret Mahy Medal Award, which is presented annually to a person who has made a significant contribution to children's literature. His most recent awards include the Russell Clark Award in 2006 for his illustrations in Kiwi Moon.

Gavin produced the story and illustrations for the world’s first animated, 3-dimensional picture book. The book Giant Jimmy Jones was a project done in collaboration with the Human Interface Technology Laboratory based at the University of Canterbury.
