Reconnect: Experience Heritage 2013
Reconnect is a one–off event celebrating the heritage of Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. It runs from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 October.
There are walks and talks and tours throughout the weekend. Buildings included in the tours include the Old Government Building in Cathedral Square, Grubb Cottage in Lyttelton, St Mary’s in Halswell, Big School at Christ’s College and Riccarton House.
Victoria/Market Square Tour
Join local historian Dr Geoff Rice and Christchurch City Libraries staff for a historical tour of Market Square (now Victoria Square). This focuses on some of the buildings, activities and individuals associated with the Square from Christchurch’s early days. Bookings are required. Maximum of 20 people.
Christchurch Photo Hunt 2013
The Christchurch Photo Hunt is back! Share photos of 20th century Christchurch and help build a photographic archive.
