Research charges

  • estimates of costs available on request
  • in-depth research in areas other than genealogy can also be undertaken at similar rates
  • payment is required in advance
  • research questions may be submitted online

Photocopying

  • self-service black and white photocopier available for A3 and A4 copies
  • colour photocopying can also be arranged
  • see our printing and photocopying page for charges
  • some archival and heritage materials may have photocopying restrictions. Photographs may be arranged as an alternative.

Microfiche & microfilm centre

  • contains a wide range of resources on microfilm or microfiche including newspapers, electoral rolls, shipping lists, birth, death and marriage indexes
  • equipment is available to both read and print from these items
  • see our printing and photocopying page for printing charges
  • assistance is available at all times during opening hours

Tours & speakers

  • tours of the Aotearoa New Zealand Centre are available to special interest groups and tertiary or secondary students
  • bookings are essential and we suggest a maximum of 15 people per visit
