Archive 17 contains material relating to the Governors Bay Public Library (1928-1959), and the earlier Port Victoria Library. The Port Victoria Library opened in 1874, and became the Governors Bay Public Library about 1928.
The archive contains a day book and minutes book for the Governors Bay Public Library (1928-1959), and accounts and correspondence (1929-1962). The archive includes the accounts and minutes book (1873-1879) and subscribers’ book (1903-1929) for the earlier Port Victoria Library.
