Host The Travelling Roadshow at your school!
The Travelling Roadshow is an interactive programme of story reading and storytelling for junior classes, years 1 - 3. It is presented by library staff at your school. Invitations are sent out at the start of Term One. Contact us for more information.
Membership
It is free to join the Library.
- You need two forms of name ID or a passport. You also need to provide proof of address.
- Children under 16 years must have a parent’s or legal guardian’s signature

Teachers’ resources
In 2010, Christchurch City Libraries created a Matariki learning resource pack for teachers of pupils in Years 1 to 8. Full of practical examples and ideas, this resource can be used to incorporate Matariki into subjects such as art, dance, English, science, social science and social studies.
