Quiltuntil the end of November: Quilt exhibition @ South Christchurch Library

Visit the South Christchurch Library to see a wonderful display of quilts made by new New Zealanders. This group of migrant and refugee women work with volunteers to learn new sewing skills, improve their English and meet new friends in a relaxed informal setting.

Meeting weekly for 3 hours this group has achieved much in the time it has been going and are pleased to be able to share their work with others and for the public to view the beautiful quilts. For many of the women this is the first time they have used a sewing machine or done hand sewing to produce quilts.

For further information about the quilting classes contact Kathleen Burford 339 8087
