The CLPE Poetry Award
Christchurch City Libraries lists literary prize winners and links to catalogue searches, but we may not hold copies of all titles mentioned.
The CLPE (Centre for Literacy in Primary Education) Poetry Award, like the Signal Award, aims to honour excellence in children’s poetry. It was established in 2003 and is presented annually in June/July for a book of poetry published in the preceding year. The book can be a single-poet collection, an anthology, an important critical work about children’s poetry, or the body of work of one contemporary poet writing for children.
