Coretta Scott King Award

The Coretta Scott King Award honors African-American authors and illustrators for outstanding contributions to children’s and young adult literature that promotes understanding and appreciation of the culture and contribution of all people to the realization of the American Dream. It is awarded by the American Library Association.
