Pre-school outreach services
Christchurch City Libraries has an experienced team of children’s librarians who visit community groups and preschools to promote our wide range of services and resources.
Families outreach
Our families outreach librarian is available to run library information and literacy education sessions to centres and groups. This experienced librarian works with all ages and cultures to spread the library message and encourage membership among all social groups.
Please contact us to book a visit during the day, evening or weekend by arrangement.
The families outreach librarian also supports library and community events.

Pre-school outreach
We provide a regular free story-telling service to at least seventy early childhood centres throughout the year. Priority is given to centres with high literacy needs and low library membership.
Up-to-date examples of excellent children’s literature and other library resources can be delivered to your group or centre. Our outreach librarian also attends library and community events, and educates groups on library services.
Please contact us if you wish to be considered for this service.
