Joe Bennett’s witty and cutting humour is well-known to readers of his weekly column in The Press. He can often be seen walking his dog on the hills above Lyttelton, appears on Moon TV.
His 2008 book, where underpants come from, traces the origin of cotton gruds from the Eastgate Warehouse to the factory where they were manufactured in the economic powerhouse of China, on to the fields where the cotton was grown.
