BNZ Literary Awards
Christchurch City Libraries lists literary prize winners and links to catalogue searches, but we may not hold copies of all titles mentioned.
In 2010 the famous BNZ Katherine Mansfield Awards were renamed the BNZ Literary Awards with the Premier Award becoming the BNZ Katherine Mansfield Award.
Prizes are:
- BNZ Katherine Mansfield Award category $10,000 prize money
- BNZ Novice Writer Award category (for unpublished writers) $1,500 prize money
- BNZ Young Writer Award category for writers who are at secondary school – $1,500 for the student and $2000 for the winner’s school
- BNZ Short Short Story Award category. A short story of a maximum of 150 words submitted via Facebook – $500 prize money.
- BNZ #Shortandtweet Award winner. A short story submitted via a single tweet on Twitter using the hashtag #shortandtweet – $1,000 prize money.
