The new library, pool and community facility now has a name – Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre. It is opening at the end of 2015, and we are gathering heritage photos of Halswell. There is also a project documenting Halswell today. We'd love your help.

KidsFest

Community Read – Magpie Hall

KidsFest is winter holiday fun for kids and teens. It runs from 4 to 18 July 2015. Book now for Back with the future and Books 'n' Beats.

There will be Mindball sessions with Science Alive! at our libraries.

Take a walk with us on the dark side this August, as we explore family secrets, taxidermy, Victorian tattooing, and Gothic novels - with author Rachael King.
