GardeningGardening

Christchurch has long been called the garden city and many of us will be in the garden over the next few months some of us will be gardening and some will be enjoying the many public gardens around Christchurch. It is also a good time to think about the future of that Christchurch icon Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens which are under review.

Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens

The city has a long tradition of horticultural expertise – the Botanic Gardens were established in 1863. Open every day at no cost, the gardens are an essential part of life in Christchurch and one of many options for viewing the many plants and trees that thrive in the Christchurch climate.
