It’s New Zealand’s Library Week from 18 to 24 September, celebrating everything that’s great about our libraries up and down the country.

Christchurch City Libraries is proud to support Library Week with New Zealand’s Biggest Storytime and the launch of a fantastic new email service the ‘e-list’ delivering details of the latest new releases and the hottest books, music and DVDs on our shelves, whatever you’re into, from DIY to armchair travel, thrillers to science fiction. New Zealand’s Biggest Storytime: Margaret Mahy’s ‘Down the back of the chair’

Wednesday 20 September 2006, 11am

Be there for the nation’s biggest storytime, when ‘Down the back of the chair’ will be read at libraries all across New Zealand. It’ll be a great experience, both for kids and any big kids who come along with them. Thanks to PSIS, there’ll also be goodie bags up for grabs.
