Julia Marshall set up Gecko Press in 2004 on returning from 12 years living in Sweden, where she worked as managing editor of several multi-lingual corporate magazines. She completed the Kate De Goldi children's writing course in 2000 and trained in publishing with Bridget Williams Books.

Gecko Press specializes in English versions of curiously good books from around the world.
