Pamela Allen
Pamela Allen is an award winning author and illustrator, her titles include the much loved picture book classics Who sank the boat? (1982) and Bertie and the Bear (1983).
Pamela has been nominated several times in the New Zealand Post Awards for best picture book. Her most recent nomination was for Where’s the gold (2005) and she won the award in 2004 for Cuthbert’s Babies.
In 2004 Pamela received the Margaret Mahy Medal whichispresented annually to a person who has made an especially significant contribution to children's literature. Pamela has written and illustrated over twenty picture books. Many have been translated for children all over the world. Her latest books published this year include Shhh little Mouse and Is your Grandmother a Goanna?
