Fendalton Library Sunday Opening Decision

The Fendalton Library will not open on Sundays after unsuccessfully seeking a resource consent for the additional day of opening.
“This is a disappointing outcome, as we had hoped to be able to offer an improved level of service. However, we do appreciate the concerns that were raised by our library neighbours”
, says Carolyn Robertson, Libraries and Information Manager.
Mrs Robertson said she was extremely grateful to the many Fendalton Library users who had supported the library in its efforts to extend to Sunday opening. We have been truly heartened by this support and are grateful that our services are so highly valued by many local people
