Hackthorne Road, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch

The Cashmere Hills extension was the only hill tramway in Christchurch. It opened on 1 May 1912 and continued up to the Tram Terminus Resthouse which became the Sign of the Takahe in 1949. "Yank" tramcars were used on this route.
