At left is the shop of J. Waine (engineer), later the offices of the New Zealand referee newspaper. In the immediate foreground is the office of the Tramway Co. and at right are F.L. & H.J. Davis (bookbinders) and J.B. Dale & Co. (land agents). In the centre is Trinity Congregational Church. In the middle distance is St. John the Baptist and at the extreme right is St. Paul's Presbyterian (later Trinity Pacific)
