Caption: The workings at the mouth of No. 11 tunnel. This photograph gives a good idea of the amount of material which collects at the mouth of a tunnel which is being constructed. The inclined side is used for lowering barrels of cement and blocks used in the making of the roof and walls of the tunnel.
