Christchurch motorists’ mishap.

Caption: Christchurch motorists’ mishap. Held up by a heavy fresh while trying to ford Rough Creek, near Arthur’s Pass, on the Canterbury-West Coast road, the motor-car had to be left for the night, and was got out next morning. It was filled with large boulders washed down by flood waters.
