Caption: A splendid catch. The accompanying photograph represents the result of two nights’ fishing on the Lower Selwyn. Mr John Greenslade, of Prebbleton, was the angler, and the bait used was live "bully". Mr Greenslade has twice won the competition for the largest fish, held under the auspices of the Anglers’ Association. A finer or more even lot of fish seldom falls to one rod. The combined weight of the fifteen fish was 97lbs.
