A Kitson steam tram runs past the Government Buildings in Cathedral Square with tramways workers on board

As at 2003 the Tramway Historical Society at Ferrymead holds the original drawings from which these wagons were constructed, also the underframes and wheels from three of these wagons. This type of wagon was used for the construction of the roadway section of the McCormacks Bay causeway. The wire mesh hides the two water tanks on the roof. The Kitson came from Leeds.
