- Beale, Fleur Red dog in bandit country, a true story as told by Bill Redding to Fleur Beale
- Bill Redding, known as Red Dog, worked on construction sites and with explosives in a variety of countries. This book describes a short period in his life when he was working on a dam site in remote Colombia in the 1950s. After flying in the payroll delivery and only losing half of it to bandits, Red Dog takes on explosives work with the construction company where 'safety last' seems to be the motto.

- Mark Inglis is a man who lives life 'to the max'. When he was 23 he was trapped in an ice cave near the summit of Mt Cook with fellow climber, Phil Doole for 13 days. Despite both legs needing to be amputated below the knee Mark Inglis has set himself many goals and succeeded.
