Rhian Gallagher

Rhian Gallagher is one of sixty authors who attended The Press Christchurch Writers Festival from September 4th to 7th, 2008

Rhian Gallagher was born in Timaru and attended the Original Composition course at Victoria University of Wellington. After moving to London, she completed a BA at London University, and Post-Graduate Diploma in Printing and Publishing at the London School of Printing. Gallagher has lived in London since 1994.

Published works

Her first collection, Salt Water Creek, published in June 2003, was short-listed for the Forward Prize for First Collection.

Her poems have appeared in publications including Ambit and the Independent on Sunday, and anthologised in Love Shook My Senses and The Daily Telegraph Arvon International Poetry Competition Anthology 2000.
