Chris Orsman
Chris Orsman is one of sixty authors who attended The Press Christchurch Writers Festival from 4 to 7 September 2008.
Another graduate of Victoria University’s Creative Writing course, Orsman also studied architecture before publication of his first collection Ornamental Gorse (1994). His second book, South (1996) is a recreation of Scott’s last expedition to the Antarctic, reflecting various lived details of life at sea and on the ice.
Orsman lives in Wellington. His poems have been published in Sport, Landfall and 100 New Zealand poems and included in An anthology of New Zealand poetry in English (1997). In 1998 he launched Pemmican Press as a publisher of new poetry.
