Vanda Symon

Vanda Symon is nominated for the Ngaio Marsh award, to be presented The Press Christchurch Writers Festival from 9 to 12 September, 2010.

Vanda Symon — another Kiwi flying the flag for crime fiction.

Detective Sam Shepherd is the central character in Vanda Symons's crime writing. Stubborn and subversive, Shepherd finds trouble — and murder — follows in her wake.

In another life Symon was a pharmacist in Hawkes Bay but she now combines writing with parenting, chairing the Otago/Southland branch of the New Zealand Society of Authors, blogging, book reviewing and hosting a local monthly radio show in Dunedin.
