Earthquake recovery at your library

Library shelvesAs our city begins to rebuild, we're making every possible effort to restore our services to you as soon as possible. Several libraries are up and running already.

Got items due? No worries

All borrowed items due in September have now had their return date extended to 30 September. Keep your library items until your local library is open — you will not incur fines during this time. If you want to place a hold on an item, please choose a library that is open as your pick up point.

You can rely on your library

The digital library — including the website, catalogue, premium websites and blog — are available, even if your physical library is not. There's even a new blog for eight- to 12-year olds.
