Aranui Library opened on 8 September 2012. This is a place for everyone. It has lots of lovely new stock, computers, free wifi and internet, and XBox Kinect. It is an asset for the community, with baby and story times for whānau, and bookable meeting spaces for groups.

Library news

Central Library Tuam opened in July at 121 Tuam Street next to the Central Bus Station. It will host photo exhibition The Space Between Words from 8 to 28 October. We have two libraries in town, with Central Library Peterborough open at 91 Peterborough Street.
South Library is getting temporary repairs and is expected to re-open by the end of the year. A temporary service centre is now open at the site.
