This photo was taken when the realignment of the approach to Memorial Avenue was being discussed by the Waimairi County Council in 1965. Taken from Memorial Avenue, it shows the junction of Fendalton and Clyde Roads. Blocks of shops on both sides were later removed when the road was widened
