In front is the Bank of New Zealand. Just past that on Hereford Street is Fishers' building. The two tall buildings to the left are the Loan & Mercantile building and John Lewis building. On the intersection of High and Colombo Streets is the City Hotel, with hackney and hansom cabs outside.
