A Maori fishing party in far north
[1907]
"The Maoris are very fond of fish, and those tribes which live on the coastline make it their principal article of diet. The photograph shows a fine catch at Parengarenga, in the North Auckland Province. At the moment of taking the photograph the Maoris - all hands and the cook - were engaged in cleaning the fish " -- The Canterbury times
