Moore Bros. were contractors for the work of levelling the sandhills of which there were about eighteen acres. The cost of levelling the sandhills and forming the races, the banks of which were turfed, was about £120 an acre. At the time this photograph was taken they had sixteen tip-drays and two-wheeled scoops in use and a large group of men engaged
