Lake Coleridge from the flat near the homestead.
Caption: Lake Coleridge from the flat near the homestead. This picture gives an idea of the situation of the tunnel now being made for the Christchurch electrical power scheme. Just to the left of the trees in the centre of the picture can be seen the tents of the workmen on the lake side where the tunnel begins. It is taken, through the low hills seen, to the Rakaia river, a distance of 7000 feet, about a mile and a half.
Description: Lake Coleridge Canterbury, where the Government is erecting a hydro-electric generating station to supply Canterbury with electric power.
