Caption: Twin foals. Twin foals are uncommon. This picture shows the purebred draught mare Jessie McLachlan, the property of Mr J. Cunningham, Brookside, with twin foals twelve days old. This is the second case of twin foals reported in Canterbury this season, Mr J. Rowell, of Templeton, having a mare that has recently had twins, this being the second time in her case.
