Description: Canterbury’s magnificent scenic resort: Easter exploration in the glacier region around the headwaters of the Waimakariri.Organised by the Canterbury Progress League, a party of sixteen Christchurch people visited the glacial region near the headwaters of the Waimakariri River, to obtain first hand information as to the suitability of the area for the development of a tourist resort.
