Caption: Messrs A. R. Blackwood, Powerhouse Superintendent (on right); J. W. Swaney, third engineer at Powerhouse (in centre); and Mr L. Peach, Linesman, with the horses that brought them the fatiguing journey of fourteen miles from the Powerhouse to Windwhistle Point where they met Mr Boris Daniels. The photograph was taken at Hororata on Friday. The party had been most hospitably welcomed by Messrs Mordey and Renwick, of Mayfields Estate who had lent them saddles and everything else they needed; also by Messrs W. Kearney and C. Smith at Brackendale. At both places the cook turned out and spared himself no trouble to provide good cheer for the cold and exhausted travellers.
