[1907]

The exhibition, which lauded the industries of the country, took place in temporary buildings in Hagley Park 1906-1907. "Despite the wet weather on Thursday afternoon, a considerable crowd of people gathered on the points of vantage on the river bank and in Park Terrace to see the fall of the last of the Exhibitions towers. From here a very good view of the proceedings could be had and the position had the advantage of absolute safety, as no matter which way the twoer fell the sightseers would be safe "
