Shirley Primary School Red and Black, Reading Crusade Mufti Day

At Shirley Primary School we held a Red and Black, Reading Crusade Mufti Day. Chris Jack came to assembly and presented specially made Reading Crusade badges to those who had already handed in Reading Crusade entries.At lunch time we held a Teddy Bears' Picnic.Each bear got a book to take home, each child got a bear sticker and there were honey sandwiches to share.

Reading Crusade Launch at Picton

The following photo was sent to us from Picton Library which had its own Reading Crusade launch attended by George Millar who plays in outside back positions for the Tasman Makos. George said that "Rugby players have to be able to read moves and books too."
