Declaration of intention to establish a public library
Two copies of the official Declaration of intention to establish a Public Library required by the Libraries and Mechanics Institute Act 1908; deposited with the Supreme Court in June 1909. One copy handwritten with signatures and stamped with Supreme Court stamp; second copy a typed transcript of the first.
A group of material relating to the establishment of Linwood Public Library. Includes incorporation documents; early Library rules; notes from a speech; and a published history.
From a collection of material relating to the early years and development of Linwood Public Library, a subscription library founded in 1909 by the Linwood Citizens Association.
