TranscriptThere was a great battle royal over the appointment of the first clerk to the Provincial Parliament. One candidate was Frederick Thompson, father of the wall-eyed solicitor, who vamoosed. He was objected to, and they wanted particulars of this and that; another was G.A.E. Ross, a son in law of parson Wilson. He got in. Later on he had experiences also. |
