TranscriptOne of the hardy men of the Bays was Mr Fleming, of Port Levy. In the old country he had been a Thames bargee. He made a fine colonist. He was a man of strong build, resolute character and with, when needed, a forcible tongue. In the old days he was a great cheese maker and a hospitable man. |
