Parapet Rock. A sharp turn on the West Coast road, near Castle Hill.
Caption: Parapet Rock. A sharp turn on the West Coast road, near Castle Hill.
Description: A distinctive rock outcrop on an old section of the West Coast road between Broken River and the Craigieburn Cutting. The present road bypasses the rock and takes a higher route, but the rock can be easily seen (together with the remains of the old road) on the right going towards Arthur's Pass.
