Caption: Opening of the trout-fishing season in Canterbury. Christchurch anglers who visited the Selwyn river for the opening of the fishing season were rewarded with good sport and fair catches. Mr A. W. Sparrow and Mr O. von Sierakowski and their bag of twelve fish, which averaged 5 lbs each.
