The founding of the new Methodist Sunday School, Rugby Street, St Albans
The founding of the new Methodist Sunday School, Rugby Street, St Albans
[1902]
The original church was burned down in 1902, by which time it had become the Sunday school in St Albans Lane (now Rugby Street). With insurance money available, rebuilding of a new school and hall on the site was begun almost immediately. "The second stone was laid by Mr C W Turner, former superintendent of the school and one of the Trustees for the present building, in the erection of which he has taken a deep and active interest "
