New Zealand Statistics
Statistics are gathered by a wide range of organisations, both government and private. Private organisations have no obligation to publicise the information and may choose not to because of cost or competitive advantage.
Statistics may not be available on all subjects either because they have not been published by private companies or because nobody has collected them at all.
Some companies like AC Nielsen and PricewaterhouseCoopers do surveys and gather statistics for clients. This means that they will sell the results to you, but these statistics will probably not be available anywhere else.
