Linwood Library
Linwood Library will have a piano on site for the whole of May Music Month! A number of pianists will be coming in to entertain us, including some informal performances after school (although we’ve already been delighted by one impromptu session when Mark, one of our customers, quietly played a lullaby which certainly did the trick … the baby stopped crying immediately … and the rest of us were charmed into silence as well).
Please note, we also have other live performances from selected local musicians scheduled for May keep checking back for updates. But finally, we’d like to acknowledge all the wonderful offers we received from our customers for the loan of a piano to say we were bowled over by people’s generosity would be an understatement as we thought our chances were highly unlikely but it seems music is alive and well in the Linwood community. Our particular thanks go to Ruth & Liz whose piano turned up on our doorstep just before Anzac Day.
