Hannah was a library member by the age of six months.‘Earlier,' says her mother, ‘than she would have been were it not for the gift of the Books for Babies pack.' Hannah visits the library weekly and continues to enjoy stories. Alison was inspired by the Books for Babies pack to also give books as presents to friends' babies, and to check that other parents hadn't missed out on getting a pack. She hopes the project will continue.

Receiving a first gift for their new baby was something really special for Dominic's parents. The choice of book was just right and made them think even harder about the benefits of using the library. ‘Books will never become obsolete,' says Dominic's father. ‘And, the Books for Babies [pack] is one gift that doesn't have a short life.'
